This artwork has been created using an algorithm. The open-source sketchbook, Processing, is then used to draw the final sketch. The algorithm uses the parametric equations of 100 circles to draw and rotate their X, Y, and Z coordinates. The number of circles can be changed to alter the shape and form of the final sketch. Randomisation is added so that velocity and acceleration of rotation oscillates randomly – what you see is a still frame; the video can be found on Instagram. Each still frame always has a unique form.
